‘The great thing about e-publishing is that anyone can get published. The bad thing? Yep. Anyone can get published.’ That’s a quote from Bookus Publishing, a new venture aimed at helping quality authors get their books noticed.
The idea is that they select books based on feedback from a group of readers and then assist those authors in the process of publishing and promoting. It seems like a good idea to me. With so many people writing and self publishing, readers need new gatekeepers to help them find quality reads. And I’m pretty sure most writers could use all the help they can get with marketing and promotion.
While they get going, the people at Bookus are running a series of guest blog posts – the Vacant Author series. There are some interesting reads there. And one is even by me.
